It's an extraordinarily beautiful house right down the street from the Parc de la Villette and the Cité de la Musique. The interior takes you right back to the 1930's, with wooden and marble tables, black and white checkerboard floor tile, and a magnificent violet "banquette" that runs right along the wall. The setting is warm and convivial, and the tables are beautifully set – the perfect address either for an intimate dinner among friends or a romantic dinner for couples. There is even the possibility of reserving the restaurant for large groups – business dinners or other special events, and La Violette also offers a little live Jazz, as well as a French variety of standards and contemporary music. For smaller groups, there is a more intimate, and exquisite, dining area that can fit up to 12 people. And when it's nice outside, you can venture out on the superb terrace, and dine out in the open, surrounded by brush, bushes and shrubs.
The restaurant's French traditional cuisine is entrusted to Thierry Delfiol – trained by the world-famous Boyer in Reims. He knows best how to bring out the scents and the savors of a cuisine that carries his original touch. Everything is prepared using only the freshest ingredients, and there are never any compromises made when it comes to hygiene. There is a very strict standard - thorough inspections are done on a regular basis.
